Ignacio Cárdenas

  In this new blog I will tell you how I came to study design. Since I was little, I always liked the area of communication and art. I was always a child very aware of national and international contexts, so I really liked the work of the journalist, especially the international correspondents. When I got out of school I enrolled in journalism at the Catholic University, and mostly for ideological reasons I dropped out in the first year. By the following year, my tastes had been directed more towards art and I decided to study architecture at the University of Concepción, I really liked the experience, but I felt that I needed more freedom to express my ideas. Collecting my previous experiences, I found that a very good combination would be to study design. And as they say, "the third time is the charm", but once I finish studying design, I do not rule out studying something else.

  Hi Everyone! Welcome to my first blog of all my life. My name is Ignacio Cardenas, I was born on January 7, I am from Osorno, a city in the south of Chile, all my life I lived in the south with my parents, brother, and sisters, until 2016 when I decided to come to Santiago to study. From a very young age I have always liked big cities because I felt that more entertaining things were happening, there is a lot of art and cultural exchange and because, although it sounds ugly, “Santiago is Chile”. I am currently studying design at the University of Chile, after doing some semesters in two other careers previously. The first was Journalism and the second was Architecture, I liked both very much, but I felt that something was missing, the perfect mix was Design. One of the things that I like the most in life is art, in all its expressions, so my hobbies are varied, but always artistic, drawing, painting, and dancing.
